“When Evil Lurks,” directed by Demián Rugna, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and became the first Latin American film to win Best Film at the Sitges Film Festival. Awarded at more than 20 festivals, it has surpassed 340,000 admissions, becoming the highest-grossing Argentine horror film in history. It was released in around 600 theaters in the United States, setting a distribution record for an Argentine film in the country. It was also released throughout Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and reached the #1 spot on Netflix in multiple territories.
“Terrified” is one of the most acclaimed Argentine horror films of recent years. With an unsettling vision of the supernatural within the everyday, the film blends realism and horror with an intense narrative. It screened at the Sitges Film Festival and numerous international festivals, consolidating itself as a landmark of the new Latin American genre cinema.
A Río de la Plata co-production directed by Gustavo Hernández, acclaimed horror filmmaker known for The Silent House and You Shall Not Sleep. The Whisper premiered in the Official Competition of the Sitges Film Festival 2025.
